Singing with the Absolutely Everybody Brisbane Choir is the perfect opportunity to sing with like-minded people in a safe and fun environment. You’ll connect with the community and meet new people. It’s an opportunity to break the cycle of social exclusion and a pathway to regaining independence.
Upbeat Arts provides an environment where members can set and achieve their own personal goals. It provides a new identity, new hope and a sense of achievement and enhanced self-esteem.
The members of the choir commit to ‘being the best they can be’ and the choir itself has established a reputation for delighting and surprising their audiences. As an established choir, there are regular requests for the choir to perform, often at high-profile events and venues. Performing with the choir is always optional.
The choir’s team are professionals and caring people, who offer a wealth of knowledge and support to the members. Rehearsals are held at a central South Brisbane area, close to public transport and as a bonus, with magnificent views of the Brisbane River.
Upbeat Arts Mission: To engage, educate and empower marginalised communities via tailored arts and cultural programs, creating pathways to well-being, education and employment.
Applications for this free program are via our online application form at www.upbeatarts.org.au. The choir operates on Fridays during school terms.
