The Peer Participation in Mental Health Services (PPIMS) network has membership of people with a lived experience with mental health issues (either as a consumer or carer) who want to actively participate in the development, implementation and review of mental health services in the region. It meets monthly online and in person.
Michelle Costello and Emily Newton from Brisbane North PHN's new Mental Health Strategy and Partnerships Team will be attending the meeting on Tuesday 14th of May to chat with PPIMS members about their experiences with mental health services in Brisbane North. They want to hear from members to help the PHN and Metro North Health (Health and Hospital Service) plan better mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and suicide prevention services in the region. This new Regional Plan will be starting in 2025.
