The framework is a tool to assist and guide organisations across sectors and along all stages of lived experience workforce development.
The Queensland Lived Experience Workforce Network (QLEWN) is a focused state-wide peak body led by, with and for the Lived Experience workforce within the mental health, alcohol and other drugs and suicide prevention sector.
These Guidelines are primarily intended to inform decision-makers, including employers and funding bodies, and to support change across the mental health sector by improving understanding of the benefits of the Lived Experience workforce. The Guidelines assist employers to assess their local readiness and prioritise activities that support successful implementation.
During January-May 2022 MHLEEN partnered with Dr Louise Byrne to develop and offer masterclass webinars to introduce the National Lived Experience Guidelines to PHNs and commissioned services, here is one of the recorded masterclasses as well as the National Guidelines content summary here.
